Those smells that just bring ya back

The smell of freshly cut grass, the sometimes overbearing smell of fabric softener on your clothes when your mom went crazy and dumped too much in.. Hey, it happens, and Peanut butter cookies.
Peanut butter cookies are one of those smells that just remind me of growing up. And they're pretty tasty might I add. Today I made a vegan peanut butter cookie I found on allrecipes.com while looking for a frosting recipe. Weird, right? The cookies are a bit crumbly, so I put mine in the refrigerator, and yep! Still good. This is a real easy recipe anyone can handle. So the kids involved, even the husband, and get to it! Chop chop!

If you're baking with the kiddies, get everything you need out and ready before hand, so they can just come along and dump everything in.

Make sure those little monsters wash their hands and send 'em on in to mixing that dough together. It should look something like this, minus the hand tattoos:

Go ahead and set them on an ungreased baking sheet, I used whatever I could grab which was the pizza cooking sheet. It's all good, no worries!!

Go ahead and place in the oven which was preheated to 400. And why not snag yourself a cool in progress baking shot. Oh la la!

After that, take those babies out, let them cool, and enjoy!!! Like I said, I put mine in the refrigerator for 25 minutes and they're really good. Now go grab you some soy milk and eat up!

Vegan Peanut Butter Cookies

1 1/2 cup flour
1 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup canola oil
3/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Preheat over to 400 degrees. Mix all ingredients until dough forms, using hands (wee!!) Form into 2 inch balls, place on ungreased baking sheet. Make cool design with fork, if you want, and then bake for 12-14 minutes.
