My weekends are usually Tuesday and Wednesday, but I do get every other Saturday off, so this past Saturday I spent the day baking, doing yard work, and hanging out with my favorite little guy. I was asked to do cupcakes for a friend's baby shower, and I'm so honored to have been a part of such an important day for my friends Alan and Amy. They are expecting a little lady this October and what better way to celebrate her arrival than with some yummy cupcakes? I made raspberries and cream cupcakes as well as Amy's favorite, a yellow cake with chocolate frosting. Since it was for a girl, I decided to add a little pink speckle to the cake, and it turned out lovely. I was told the party was tons of fun and they cupcakes were a big hit. Which is always nice to hear ;) I also mowed the lawn for the first time ever in my life. Dee really liked it, so much in fact he decided to lay down and soak up the sun. What a sweetie, and a good day off!
