Apple Cider Cranberry Sauce

Hi friends, here's another recipe that you can use in many ways. I have used in as a side dish on it's own, on top of a sandwich, in a wrap, and even as a topping for cheesecake, and a filling for cake! It's pretty versatile, and pretty tasty.

Apple Cider Cranberry Sauce

1 12 ounce bag of fresh cranberries
1 C Apple cider
1 C brown sugar
zest of 1 lemon (or 1/2 of an orange)

In a medium saucepan, combine all the ingredients and bring to a boil. Continue to boil until the berries begin to pop. Turn heat down, and simmer until thickened. Cool down, and transfer to bowl. Cover and chill until ready to serve, or use however you would like.
