Date Night!

Every night is a date night, but last night was a pretty darn good night. No baking, no cooking... Unlike the night before, I made Beef and Waffles with Homemade gravy and a hot fudge pudding pie cake. I'll post those recipes here today, but I'm mostly going to gush about our wonderful night last night ;) Jason got off of work early, and took me to Mukilteo. It's about a 10 minute drive from Everett, and an absolutely beautiful drive might I add. We decided to go to Ivar's, Excellent choice.. We had an amazing view of the water, and some outstanding seafood.

The view from our dinner table!

Luckily we brought our hoodies, we really never leave home without them, haha. The breeze from the water was super cold, but we loved it. We shared a bowl of the smoked salmon chowder, which was the best I've ever had. Jason loved it! He got the seafood saute, which had salmon, prawns, scallops, and cod. I got the dungeness crab melt. All of it was good, but I really could have just had a bowl of the chowder and called it a day.

After dinner we walked to the shore and sat on some dogwood and just enjoyed the water. It really is beautiful out there, and I'm glad Jason took me there for dinner. It was amazing. We went and got ice cream afterwards at a Baskin Robbins, a few years back Jason got me an ice cream cake for my birthday. A total surprise actually, and I saw one that looked like it and got all teary eyed. Dang us girls and our emotions. I do truly love the man, and I know he loves me too.. It was a great night and I'm glad I'm able to share the photos with you!

The last photo of the night! So beautiful..
