Catch Up!

With all the house cleaning and other various things I've been doing, it's hard to find time to bake, yet alone blog! AHHH! Crazy times here, for sure. Since our pal Bryan is in town for 2 weeks, and loves the pumpkin cream pie I make, I figured it would be a nice gesture to bake one for him while they were at the shop working. It's a pretty simple and AWESOME recipe. You can make it in a blender or a bowl, I chose to do it in a bowl. Throw it all together, blend away, bake, cool, top, and EAT. Sounds amazing, right?

See, just ONE bowl, it's that easy.. Give it a whirl!

The only thing different I did this time for the topping I added cinnamon, which I really liked. I also doubled it, Bryan really likes the tartness of it, so I figured I'd overload it on. He hasn't had any since Thanksgiving ;)

Cinnamon Sour Cream Topping
1 C sour cream
3 TB sugar
1 1/2 TS pure vanilla
1 TS ground cinnamon

Mix all ingredients together in bowl using whisk. Pour over COMPLETELY cooled pie. Wham Bam Thank ya Ma'am!

There have been some other things that I've made the past few weeks that I've either forgot to post, were to busy to post, or just didn't take photos of.. One being home made applesauce - soooo good! And the other the cheese danish and nutella cheesecake cups. I'll get on that ASAP!

Have a great week everyone :)

  1. Ok...thanks to all of the blogs I follow {yours included} I'm now craving all things pumpkin! So this is definitely going on the list of "must makes". More importantly...is that a red mixer in the background? very cool! I can't wait for the recipe for the nutella cheesecake cups! yumo!

  2. I love everything pumpkin, I'm stocking up on canned pumpkin now, and when I start seeing sugar pumpkins, I'm going to steam and freeze the puree, can't wait! That is actually a red toaster, but I do have a red mixer too :D
